The purpose of the study was to <strong>develop a set of plausible, but extreme, future scenarios for the uptake and deployment of next generation wireless technology<\/strong>, and then to quantify these scenarios.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>As part of our work, we <strong>designed and delivered a multi-agency workshop to investigate the factors that influence the level of demand for wireless technology.<\/strong> It was attended by senior stakeholders from across the Government.\u00a0 The outputs from the workshop were used to create four credible but extreme potential future scenarios for wireless technology use.\u00a0 We then quantified these scenarios by taking a technology \u2018Use Case\u2019 approach. During this, a series of sector specific Use Cases were generated, and the total demand for each use case was calculated.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The scenarios we developed <strong>provided certainty <\/strong>and have been <strong>used to <\/strong><strong>inform government policy <\/strong>on future wireless connectivity investment.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><a
