Decision Analysis Services (DAS) shortlisted for Young Energy Professionals (YEP) 2025 ‘Team of the Year’ award.

DAS’s Critical Materials team have been shortlisted for ‘Team of the Year’.  The YEP annual awards recognise energy industry professionals with less than 10 years of experience in the energy sector.

The team were nominated in recognition of their outstanding work across critical material supply and demand, specifically supporting the delivery of two pioneering foresight studies. Commissioned by the Critical Materials Intelligence Centre (CMIC), on behalf of the Department for Business and Trade, the first analysed the supply and demand of copper and aluminium for Great Britain’s national grid infrastructure. The second analysed of the supply and demand of critical materials for the UK nuclear industry.

The studies have contributed significant knowledge of grid infrastructure materials requirements to 2050 and understanding for the nuclear sector on the journey towards achieving net zero by 2050. The recommendations from the reports are being used to inform government and industry of critical material supply risks and mitigation strategies, including circular economy principles, key to achieving Net Zero 2050.

Rosemary Wildblood, Critical Materials Project Director, said: I am thrilled that the team have been shortlisted for the Young Energy Professionals ‘Team of the Year’ award this year. I am extremely proud of their pioneering work across critical materials supply and demand and being at the forefront of supporting the energy industry with insight and foresight on materials risk through to 2050 and beyond.”

The Young Energy Professional Awards winners will be announced on 6th November.
